A MUST SEE.
If you will take a look at the Philippine Map you will be able to see a long and narrow island at the stretch between Mindoro in the northeast and Borneo in the southwest. It lies between the South China Sea and the Sulu Sea. Its province is Puerto Princesa home of the world-renowned underground river. Palawan is known for its natural wonders and historical values.
" Palawan emerged as the top island destination in a poll by an award-winning US travel magazine. Beating 147 other islands throughout the world, Palawan was voted as "Top Island in the World” in the 27th annual Readers’ Choice Awards of Conde Nast Traveler magazine"
Places to see in Palawan: Underground river, Tubbataha Reef, Tabon Cave, Kayangan Lake in Coron, Port Barton, Calauite Wildlife Sanctuary, Long Beach, San Vicente.
Taking a break from the hectic life of the city of Manila, my siblings and I together with their own families decided to spend the summer vacation in Palawan, El Nido.
El Nido Is such a breathtakingly beautiful, serene place.
I love visiting the different islands of the Philippines and my goal is to atleast explore the different islands of the Philippines before my time ends.
Philippines is definitely a beautiful island. No wonder foreigners come back from time to time.
The trip to El Nido Palawan was time consuming as it would take you a few hours from Puerto Princesa to El Nido (Same as Coron). Nevertheless it was all worth the wait.
Palawan is an Island you will never get tired of seeing. The food is great, the company was great and the overall experience was a fulfilling one.
During our stay we did a bunch of activities such as island hoping, snorkeling, scuba diving, exploring the caves, "Ihawan sa bangka", and a whole lot more.
A must try in Palawan is what they call the Tamilok (Basically a live worm from the mangroves) and the Crocodile Sisig)
The caves are absolutely beautiful as well as the clear waters of the hidden lagoons and beaches. Snake Island was a memorable one for me as it was a long sandbar with very clear and clean waters.

My Family and I (Especially my siblings) like to travel a lot and explore the different cultures of each and every destination whether it is in the boundaries of the Philippines or a new foreign community.
My Family and I (Especially my siblings) like to travel a lot and explore the different cultures of each and every destination whether it is in the boundaries of the Philippines or a new foreign community.
For the past year and the year before that my Family and I decided to spend the rest of the Holidays in Hong Kong (Christmas of 2013 and 2014)
2013:
Being in Hong Kong for the first time I was mostly excited about the cold weather, the food and most especially the shopping! (ehem SaSa)
We spent the days exploring the city, eating local delicacies, shopping and a day spent at the Disneyland Resort.
For hotel accommodations we stayed in Regal Hotel found in the heart of the city. The stay was pleasant and relaxing and staff was surely accomodating.
Here are some photos of our Hong Kong 2013 trip:
2014: The following year we decided to go back once again. Our cousins decided to join us as they have never been to HK before. We stayed in the Cosmopolitan hotel which was better than the hotel we stayed before due to the fact that it was nearer the shops and malls.
Some photos of the trip:
All in all Hong Kong is a great place to be in. It is actually ideal for barkadas that are new to traveling since it is pretty easy to get around.
Thank you for reading!
